- Do we have to negotiate with the supplier commercial affairs and technical affairs simultaneously?
- Why do we have start negotiating technical affairs first?
- Why should the customers need to inform Press Brake Suppliers of their working environment?
- How much is the standard volume of sound produced by the Brake Press?
- What technical documents do you need to get from supplier?
- What are Commercial affairs for Brake Press?
- What is Incoterms?
- What is delay penalty in delivery?
- What are commercial and technical documents?
- Can customer choose the color of Brake Press?
- What is acceptance?

We strongly recommend you to start negotiating technical affairs first (if offer and quotation is reasonable to you). Clear all vague points in technical affair and then start negotiating commercial affairs.
When you change items and options, price, delivery time and terms may get changed.
We know that working environment could effect on outputs (tolerances) and even on machines. Working environment includes cold, warm, hot, dry, humidity, clean and dusty. For example, if your factory is located in very cold climate, the supplier has to use a heating system in hydraulic tank or special rubber seal in some parts of Press Brake.
The Standard volume is 75 Decibel for all working mental machines but for Brake Press is 50 or 60 Decibel.
You need to get electrical drawings, hydraulic drawings, maintenance manual, potential errors , list of wear parts including bending tools, lower , upper tools, Bystronic upper , Punch adapters, Bolted adopters and die holders
Price, Payment Terms, Delivery Time, Packing, Guaranty, Warranty, Per acceptance, Final Acceptance, Delay Penalty, Inco Terms and Documents.
The Incoterms are a series of pre-defined commercial terms published by the International Chamber of Commerce defining, obligations, costs and risks of the delivery of goods. Ex-works, FOB, CFR, CPT, CIF are some of them.
In case you mention delay penalty in your agreement –signed by supplier and customer, you could clam penalty and deduct the amount of penalty as agreed in final payment.
There are two kinds of documents. commercial documents and technical documents. P/I, Invoice, Certificate of Origin, packing list, inspection if the machine has been inspected, manual and drawings including electrical drawings, pneumatic drawings, wear parts drawings.
The customers have right to select the color of the machine. The customers have to inform the supplier the RAL colors.
When supplier finishes manufacturing the Brake Press in their factory, they have to announce it to the customer. It would be better that customer attend in suppliers’ factory for two reasons. One: testing or checking all requested parameters. Two: training, maintenance training. This acceptance is mostly called Pre-acceptance.
Some customers request suppliers to set off experts to customer’s factory to install and run the Brake Press in factory. Manufactures’ experts have to assemble and setup the machine and then run the machine with different sizes of sheets and different thickness for some hours. If any problems did not occur –after setup- final acceptance is Ok.
